There are boattrips to the caves or grottos along the cliffs of the Algarve, or to the playful dolphins at Ponta da Piedade or a picturesque trip upstream, from Portimao up the River Arade to the historical city of Silves.

The Natural Reservate Ria de Alvor offers protection to a lot of domestic birds and migratory birds. It is a true paradise for ornithologists.
